My name is Hashim. A question that I'm often asked is, where from? Most of the time I reply. Well... It's long story. I was born in the Capital of Somalia, Mogadishu. Shortly after war in Somalia we fled to Europe where I lived since. My interest and passion are within filmmaking and photography. I love to tell stories through the lens, stories of inspiring and fascinating people, life journeys, great challenges, travel, colourful and rich cultures and traditions.

There is always a lot to be said, but I think rest is best told in film.

Currently I'm working on a project together with my friend and fellow filmmaker Dane Vincent. I hope to setup my own production company in the near future (inshallah).
