Bio

Stephanie Brown is a freelance editor based in the Washington DC area. She began her career as a producer-director in the Air Force. Over the past 12 years, Stephanie has worked on numerous short fiction and non-fiction projects. Most recently, she edited two short films, Unscheduled Life Opportunities and Finding Flagler, for the 2009 48-Hour Film Project competitions in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, respectively. She also wrote, produced, directed, shot, and edited the short documentary, "DC LSIC: A Little Justice Goes A Long Way" for DC non-profit legal aid agency and law clinic DC Law Students in Court. Stephanie is a graduate of the Institute for Documentary Filmmaking, a six-month intense Master's Certificate program at the George Washington University. Additionally, she holds a JD from Georgetown University, an MA in Video Production and Graphic Design from University of Baltimore, and a BA in American and English Literature from University of Detroit.
