For the past 12 years I have freelanced as a Director, Producer and 1st Assistant Director for award-winning feature films, commercials, music videos, TV series and specials for broadcasters and festivals worldwide including National Geographic (Canada/ US), A&E, Alliance Atlantis, BBC, Discovery Channel (Canada/US/Europe/International), and CBC to name a few. Recently, I was 1st Assistant Director for "The Camera and Christopher Merk" written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg (son of David), which received its world premier screening at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival.
"King Kaufman: The Passion of Lloyd", my directorial debut (which I also wrote and produced), has garnered awards for Best Documentary, Best Director and Best Picture. The director's cut received its world premier at the Socal Independent Film Festival in Huntington Beach, California and was nominated for Best Documentary.
In October 2010 I joined Stupid Face Productions, a full-service media production house, as Executive Producer. Shortly thereafter Stupid Face partnered with Conjured Visions to produce "Carl(a)" – a 95 minute feature film which is now in post production. This drama focuses on transgender issues and stars trans actresses Joslyn DeFreece and Laverne Cox ("Transform Me", "I Want to Work For Diddy") and Mark Margolis who is known for his roles in various Darren Aronofsky films such as "The Wrestler","Requiem for A Dream" and "The Fountain".
