Public Bio

I am drawn to stories about people who face their limits with dignity. I believe documentary film can be a valuable tool to inspire social change and promote appreciation of the numerous cultures around the world. In my films, I try to ask my audience to explore their values and I hope to encourage greater tolerance and understanding among people.

I hold an M.F.A. in documentary film from Wake Forest University, an M.A. in mass communications from the University of Florida and a B.S. in communications media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Previously I worked in radio production and fundraising/development. I have worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations in areas including public broadcasting, art, education, at-risk youth and animal advocacy. I currently work as a video producer and adjunct professor at the University of Florida.
