Register for The D-Word
After registering, you'll automatically have Enthusiast status. Enthusiasts can post in our Public Topics, where we hold moderated online conferences with guest experts in the field, and they can also access archived conferences. These week-long discussions cover the art, craft, business and social impact of documentary film. We also recommend films and support beginning filmmakers with answers from our Professional members.
Following this automatic registration, documentary professionals can apply for Professional status, which will give them full access to all private discussions in our Business, Creative, Social and Technical Topics.
Before you register, please note the following points:
-- You can only join The D-Word as an individual, not as a couple, a company, institution, film festival or other plural entity.
-- You are required to register with your full name ("real world" name, not a pseudonym or initials); D-Worders like to know who they are dealing with!
-- Webhosting, Ecommerce or other spam-like registrations will be automatically deleted, so please don't bother.
-- Also, if you already registered for the D-Word, however long ago, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN as your original username is probably still valid. Instead, try to recover your username and password if you've forgotten your log-in details or email us if you are still unable to receive your password (this could be due to an email address change).
Just to be absolutely clear: profiles with incomplete entries, pseudonyms or company names will be deleted.
