Hi All~

I'm looking for projects that need a stills/footage researcher, or assistant producer. I have years of experience working as a photo editor at various magazines (Newsweek, Vogue, Daily Beast) and organizations (UNICEF, Channel 13, Alarm Will Sound), and am trying to move into documentary film. I'm about to start a two month freelance gig at the New York Times. In addition to my licensing/research experience, I'm also an adept producer for still shoots – and am hoping to apply those skills to documentaries as well. I recently finished research and licensing for a film about Harper Lee, and have also worked on broadcast & live event productions. Last fall I traveled to Iceland, where I collaborated with a photojournalist to make a short documentary about the horse herders. I produced, photographed, and was the audio recordist for Herd In Iceland, which is currently in the editing stage.

Thanks so much for reading.

Hello Doc Enthusiasts,

If you haven't already heard, Harry Shearer's documentary "The Big Uneasy" is opening in Los Angeles and New York City on Friday, May 20th. Details below!

Los Angeles: Sunset 5 Laemmle, Harry Shearer will be doing a Q&A after the 7pm and 9:45 showings on May 20th and 21st.

New York City: Cinema Village

Please share with your friends. This documentary is not to be missed. Really poignant look a not-so-natural disaster that occurred in New Orleans in 2005 and why it can happen again in your city.

Hello folks,

I need an AE to come in for a day on Sunday to help me organize/categorize media on my current project (a doc about the Cultural Revolution). We're using FCP7. Basically I need someone to come and organize media files by content rather than date (which is how it's organized right now) so I can quickly and easily locate footage. Piad gig; Los Angeles; Sunday probably 4pm-midnight (or whatever time they get it done).

Please contact me if you or someone you know can do this!
