The Film Studies Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder
invites applications for a tenure-track position in the production
effective fall 2004. Rank is open, although the Program anticipates
hiring at the associate or early full professor level. Those applying
for a senior rank will be considered for the position of chair and
should have previous experience in departmental administration,
grant-writing, and fund-raising.
The production area of Film Studies combines the study of 16mm
filmmaking (narrative, documentary and experimental) with digital
and new technologies. We are seeking a film/video maker with an MFA,
significant teaching experience, and a strong portfolio and exhibition
record that demonstrates substantial expertise in digital editing,
design and graphics. Candidates should be thoroughly familiar with the

2-D and 3-D graphic programs
Internet and New Technologies
The Film Studies curriculum is unique in that it integrates critical
studies and production requirements in the BA and BFA degrees. A
background in the history and aesthetics of new technologies is highly
