Hi D-Worders.

I am fellow documentary director and shooter and our production company FILM FOR THOUGHT just bought a fantastic C300 package we are willing to rent out to our documentary colleagues during our shooting schedule downtime.

We bought the camera since it's so light, modular, very unobtrusive and easy to professionally color-correct with its C-log setting. It's an amazing A-roll interview camera that rivals the RED. And most importantly – it has an unmatched low-light capability (we did professional tests and the camera held with minimal natural-looking grain up to an ISO of 6400) .

We are using the camera around 1 or 2 days a week which means it's available quite a bit. I have no interest in renting out the camera package to a big rental house but rather have it stay within the documentary community.

[ ] 24-105mm Lens (L-series)

hey everybody, Kevin Hallagan again. I just launched a kickStarter campaign to raise funds for the first documentary of my career. It's going to be a wild ride and extremely difficult, but I know I can do it. here's the link: http://kck.st/N3Ni9c

My documentary is not just about Binghamton, Ny, it's about how economics and the environment are codependents whose sum is overall living quality. I'm using Binghamton as a representation of many areas in the United States that got hit hard by the recession, but instead of it being a story about loss and hardship it's a story of hope for the future.

Please check out my link and spread it around the internet. i need to get it seen by as many people as possible if I want to reach my goal by July 27.

Thanks D-Word!

-Kevin

I'm selling my Sony NEX FS-100 (body only) and replacing it with a NEX FS-700.
The camera is one year old and is in perfect condition.

Description:
The NEX-FS100 is an interchangeable lens camcorder featuring a Super 35mm sensor equivalent in size to a Super35mm film camera (same as PMW-F3).

With a lens adapter, it will except almost any 35mm lens... including Nikon, Zeiss, Sony, Minolta and Canon.

My guest this episode is Ben Logan. He co-directed (with Mandy Stein) a feature doc about the Bad Brains which played recently at the Silver Docs festival. It's called "Bad Brains: A Band In D.C."

Hi everyone! I am subletting my 875 square foot loft in the Far West Village/Meat Packing district from August 19-August 30th or September 1st. If interested I can send you photographs and the daily rate. Hoping to sublet for a minimum of one week. Thanks. It is a 5-story walk up, FYI but with fantastic view, neighborhood with tons of amenities, a large roof garden over my loft and lots of sunshine. rotondiresearch@nyc.rr.com

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign and I invite you all to check it out. http://kck.st/LyRWgk

Coded Stories: Art, Bar Codes, & Mapuche Identity
Coded Stories, a documentary film, weaves together contemporary art with indigenous rights to convey the struggle of the Mapuche of Chile to preserve their culture and way of life. The goal of Coded Stories is to spread awareness about the plight of the Mapuche, a people whose traditions are under serious threat.

The film follows artist Guillermo Bert, a Chilean-born, Los Angeles-based artist whose recent work was inspired by the similarities between Mapuche textile patterns and contemporary bar codes (QR codes). Bert's art raises questions about identity, globalization, modernization, and challenges facing indigenous cultures in the Americas.

Please help spread the word. The campaign ends July 17, and we have quite a way to go. Thank you!
