I suppose it wouldn't take much to make the edit window bigger... But I think I know what caused the problem and will fix it in the next milestone.
Help, Suggestions, Future of The D-Word
Difficulties with The D-Word? If you can't find the right answers on our Help page, please post in this topic. Ideas for future D-Word releases or projects can be posted here as well.
How do you post a big link like this aand make it work?

Do you need < > on either side or the likes thereof?
The problems are the underscores. Please wait for the fix. In the meantime, there's utilities on the net that let you zip long URLs into new short ones.
Sorry it has taken so long for me to fix these formatting bugs. I've made a few fixes now that should help you put in URLs like
- and
- not
- break
- lists
way to go, Pete! (in the distance, the roar of the crowd chanting in unison is heard: We love Pete, we love Pete)
A virtual pint of special on me for you Pete.
I could do with a pint of special myself. Can you add one as an attachment please.
Also, people with hyphenated names will get correct capitalisation the next time you update your profile!
hmmmm that didnt work as planned-
here's what I really want
Not wishing to take this to the bar where this is still ongoing, I wonder why when I am not logged in to d-word, and my share this publically box is unticked, I google David Herman d-word and come up with my whole profile warts and all?
David, make sure you are fully logged out. You would see the attached.
until a fix for long url's is here, you can go to tinyurl.com and make them little....
what the f is fully logged out? do I have to smoke something?
Click on "Log out" ( top right of page or http://www.d-word.com/login/logout )
Chris, it's much easier to use the labelled URL formatting (click the blue help icon for instructions). The link above could be:
Try again:
Very Important Thing will link us to a very important thing
and
An even more important thing will link us to something even more important.
I think that was more information than I needed this evening. Bonne nuit.
For those of you who still want to play around with the various new features for your posts: We are going to close Play with The NEW D-Word in three days.
As a pilot project to spread the D-Word among documentary professionals, we're sharing our Sheffield Doc/Fest discussions with their website. The public can only see the discussion with Heather and Fleur, logged-in D-Word Members will also see the Sheffield F2F and general discussions. All data remains with us on d-word.com.
Just a thought - unless I'm missing it, shouldn't there be a one-line tag saying what the D-Word is on the page you link to? I know people can find out by going there (here), but surely there's room for "the longest-running online community for professional documentary filmmakers" or whatever.
This is strange. Marketing and Distribution is not showing up in any of my topic lists, though I can get to it through the search...
sean, the universe is saying just go out and make your film and don't worry about where it ends up ;-)
