Jamila Paksima Rowell Pro

Jamila Paksima is an Iranian born independent filmmaker, journalist and award-winning documentary director and producer. Some of her films include: Getting off the Streets, Until 20, Welcome to Lancaster, The Contenders 16 of '16, Talking to Iran, Why the Children, Witness to the Execution, and Women in Prison Nowhere to Hide. Jamila is a Pew Fellow in International Journalism and a recipient of the RFK Journalism Award, the Deadline Award, three Webby Awards and two Emmy nominations among other accolades. Her film Until 20 was featured in 15 film festivals and won numerous directing, producing and audience awards.  Jamila is in production on Plan C for Civilization.
