Bio

I graduated in filmmaking in Milano, Italy, writing and directing the short film L’ALTRO CIBO (2012), selected for the CILECT Prize. I started my career in Gagarin, an independent film company based in Milano, where I experienced the adventurous phase of writing’s development of several projects. Then, I have started cooperating with tv production companies like Class CNBC, Freemantle and Magnolia, as well advertising agencies, directing mostly branded video contents.

However, what really drives my searching, keeping alight my flame as a filmmaker, is a never-ending need of cinematic stories, where I can look the texture of real surroundings and opening a crack on their surface, looking for supernatural hidden layers.

I have matured the interest for the reality’s storytelling during my filmmaking studies, when I wrote, shot and edited the two short documentaries SAN MARTINO VA LONTANO (2011), where I’ve explored the meaning of “being a mother”, through the relationship between an old Italian woman and her Moldovan caregiver and IMPRONTE (2012), a visual symphony about the transformation of an old working class neighborhood in Milano into the current fashion district. Then, I shot and edited LAST METER (2014), a very short documentary about the end of celluloid’s era in movie theaters.

Over the years, I have also had roles in several documentaries, from cinematographer and camera operator to editor and producer and all these experiences have contributed to fuel an innate love for cinema, wild and surreal. Camera operator in HELP EXPRESS: DESTINATION ROMANIA (Italy, 2011); cinematographer and camera operator in THE DAYANS (Israel, 2019) and REMNANTS OF MEMORY (USA/Italy, 2022); unit production manager in DARIO ARGENTO PANICO (Italy, 2023), premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival; co-producer, additional editor and cinematographer in VIVA VERDI! (USA/Italy, 2024).

Currently, I have just completed the post-production of my latest short QUEL GIORNO CHE CADDE GIÙ ANCHE IL CIELO and I am in the post-production phase with my first feature documentary FIGLI DEL FIUME, slated for spring 2025.

Besides this, I am a member of 24fps, a filmmakers’ collective with whom I organize screenings of independent cinema, especially focused on social and environmental themes.
